The 1st Wotton-under-Edge Scout Group will start a 'Scout Active Support Unit' in 2010 to enable people, who would like to support our group, to take on specific tasks. An equally important part of this 'friends of Wotton Scouts' community are the social events organised by and for this community. We welcome people of all ages and there is no specific experience required to join (we all have something to offer).

The kind of support provided is agreed between the Scout Active Support Manager and the Group Scout Leader based on the needs of the group and the kind of support the Scout Active Support Unit is able to provide.

All members will need to be CRB checked before taking part in events involving contact with children.

Note: The Scout Association is no longer using the old name and structure of the 'Fellowship' units. The Scout Active Support Unit is similar in many ways - but its new structure provides better links with the needs of local scouting. Read more about this change here.
