Cub Scout Law

Where do cub badges go on the uniform? 

1st Wotton-under-Edge Scout groups has two packs; Heron and Kingfisher. 

Cub Scouting is open to Boys and Girls aged from 8 – 10.5 years old.  We aim to provide a fun and balanced programme that will help develop young peoples skills and attitudes.

Programme Zones split the whole programme into manageable areas. Each Zone represents a different development area in a young person's life. There are seven Programme Zones in Cub Scouting. They are:

Outdoor Scouting
•    Enjoy the outdoor life, camping and hiking
•    Try adventurous activities
•    Learn Scouting skills

Fitness
•    Learn how their bodies work
•    Keep fit and healthy
•    Take part in a variety of fitness activities

Discovering the World around You
•    Discover how things work
•    Explore the natural world

Creative
•    Develop creative skills and self expression
•    Try new things

Beliefs and Attitudes
•    Grow in their faith
•    Develop understanding of other people’s faiths
•    Put the Promise and Law into practise

Caring and Community
•    Learn to look after themselves
•    Help other people
•    Explore the local community

Global
•    Increase awareness of the world and its environment
•    Find out about other countries and their people
•    Understand problems people face around the world.
